"Simon's Story" is the second short of The Bremen Avenue Experience, following "Introducing the Bremen Avenue Experience" and preceding "Jessica's Story." It originally aired on Cartoon Network in-between programs on June 2, 2008. The shorts features Barrett, Simon, Jessica, and Tanner.
As the band is practicing, Barrett halts the proceedings since there is a total lack of harmony in the music. He interrogates Simon, who insists that he is just "rocking out" and starts to mock Barrett; Jessica begins to mock both of them, as Tanner tries to break for lunch, and Barrett furiously attempts to keep the group on task.
As they rage at each other, the band begins to play furiously; amazingly, their sound gels and the energy of their anger channels itself into the music. With all passion spent, Simon congratulates Barrett on his strategy and Barrett compliments Simon on his new riff, while Jessica reminds the group to meet again the next day for rehearsal -- and Tanner asks about his lost sandwich.
- Despite its title, this short is far less Simon-centric than the short entitled "Introducing The Bremen Avenue Experience"; it is possible that this short was originally meant to be the introduction, but the other was finished earlier and presented to Cartoon Network as the introduction, thus switching both shorts' titles.
- It is worth noting that this is the only short of the series where the band is actually referred to by name (Barrett is the one who refers to it by name, and only once does he say so).
