Shortly thereafter It was shown on Boomerang for a brief period; however, after a short hiatus, the show returned to Boomerang on January 10, 2015 with new episodes after having been pulled from the Cartoon Network line-up. The show relates around the comic misadventures of the "grojband" (garage band) (coincidentally also named "Grojband") of the title, a band consisting of a thirteen-year-old boy named Corey Riffin and his friends: the brothers Kin and Kon Kujira, and their neighbor, Laney Penn (who secretly has a crush on Corey). Corey, as lyricist for Grojband, depends on the diary of his overbearing, emotionally unstable elder sister Trina for inspiration;  plots generally involve his efforts to provoke an emotional reaction from her, driving her to make a frantic entry in her journal -- often as a result of her frustrated passion for local hottie Nick Mallory.
